Men’s Basketball Enjoys 77-68 Win at Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Keystone College men's basketball team enjoyed a 77-68 win at Elmira College on Friday night.
  • The Giants improve to 1-1 and will face Oswego State on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. in the championship game of the Elmira Tip-Off Tournament.
  • The Soaring Eagles drop to 0-1. Oswego State defeated Ithaca 85-80 earlier in the evening on Friday.
  • Oswego State is coached by Jason Leone, who was the head coach at Keystone from 2007-11.
  • Junior Tone Cockrell (Upper Marlboro, Md./Landon School) dropped a game-high 17 points behind 5-of-11 shooting from the field, going 2-of-3 from deep and 5-of-7 at the foul line.
  • Cockrell provided 6 assists & 5 rebounds in the win.
  • Senior Ray Mills (Philadelphia, Pa./Overbrook) & junior Jeremy Jordan (Portsmouth, Va./I.C. Norcom) both notched 15 points, with Mills going 4-of-8 from the field & 5-of-5 at the foul line.
  • Jordan went 6-of-11 with 5 boards.
  • Freshman Malik Hudges (Newark, N.J./Lewisburg) finished with 11 points & 4 rebounds while freshman Marcus Bauman (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) tallied 8 points & 4 boards.
  • Junior Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) enjoyed 6 points & junior Jaylen Nuckles (Corning, N.Y./Corning) chipped in 5 points.
  • Keystone shot 47.3% from the field & 76.2% at the foul line.
