Women’s Basketball Defeats Cairn 71-51 in CSAC Regular Season Finale

La PLUME, Pa. - Feb. 13, 2019 – Four players finished in double figures for the Keystone College women's basketball team as the Giants cruised to a 71-51 CSAC victory over visiting Cairn University on Wednesday evening.

With the win, Keystone improves to 14-10, 11-5 CSAC and the Giants host Valley Forge in a non-conference game on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. to close out the regular season before the CSAC Tournament.

Cairn falls to 11-13, 8-7 CSAC and the Highlanders travel to Wilson College on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.

Freshman Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) - the reigning CSAC Player of the Week - led all players with 19 points on 8-of-29 shooting, while contributing three steals and two rebounds in the win. Senior Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) provided 13 points, six boards, five assists and two steals.

Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) tallied 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals while sophomore Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) - the reigning CSAC Defensive Player of the Week -  enjoyed a double-double with 11 points and a career-high 17 rebounds.

Junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) combined to score 12 points and tally six assists, five rebounds and three steals.

For Cairn, Kendra Stum scored a team-high 14 points. Dakota Hitchner registered nine points, eight assists and five rebounds.

The Giants enjoyed a 21-15 first quarter and led 32-26 at halftime. Keystone used an 18-8 third quarter to keep Cairn at bay.
