Balanced Scoring Sends Men’s Basketball Past Centenary 83-66

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Feb. 6, 2019 - Junior Jalen Flynn (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) scored a team-high 21 points while four other players scored double figures to lift the Keystone College men's basketball team over host Centenary 83-66 on Wednesday evening in CSAC action.

With the road victory, Keystone improves to 5-19, 4-7 CSAC and the Giants return home to host Clarks Summit on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. for Senior Day. With the loss, Centenary drops to 10-12, 5-4 CSAC and the Cyclones remain at home to host Bryn Athyn on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m.

Flynn tallied a double-double with 13 rebounds to go along with his team-best 21 points (9-of-21 from the field). Junior Austin Smith (Titusville, Fla./Florida Air Academy) followed with 16 points (4-of-8 from deep) with eight rebounds while freshman Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) enjoyed 13 points off the bench, going 5-of-7 from the field, before fouling out.

Seniors Terrence Bowman (Ewing, N.J./Ewing) and Devin Stricklin (Midland, Tex./Pro Vision Prep) scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, and combined for 18 rebounds, seven assists and four steals for the Giants. Junior Javonte Matthews (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) tallied six points and 6 boards.

For the Cyclones, Chris LaBelle tallied a game-best 23 points while Divine Anderson scored 15 points.

The Giants led 41-27 at halftime and finished the night shooting 51.4 percent (36-of-70) from the field and 8-of-19 from deep (44.4 percent).
