Men’s Basketball Enjoys 94-84 Win Over Clarks Summit On Senior Day

La PLUME, Pa. - Feb. 9, 2019 – Sophomore Jeremy Jordan (Portsmouth, Va./I.C. Norcom) scored a team-high 23 points as the Keystone College men's basketball team defeated visiting Clarks Summit University 94-84 in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, Keystone improves to 6-19, 5-7 CSAC to close out the regular season.

Clarks Summit drops to 0-23, 0-10 CSAC and the Defenders host Cairn on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m.

Prior to Saturday's contest, the program honored its three senior members for Senior Day: Devin Stricklin (Midland, Tex./Pro Vision Prep), Terrence Bowman (Ewing, N.J./Ewing) and Austin Smith (Titusville, Fla./Florida Air Academy).

Jordan shot 7-of-7 from the field and 9-of-10 from the charity stripe in just 19 minutes off the bench. Junior Javonte Matthews (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) followed with 19 points and nine boards.

Junior Jalen Flynn (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) tallied 17 points and 11 boards for the double-double while Smith contributed a double-double of his own with 10 points and 11 assists.

Bowman tallied eight points, eight assists and four steals while freshman Tyler Sebastian (Ledyard, Conn./Lee Academy) and Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) combined to score 11 points off the bench.

For the Defenders, Marcus Dixon poured in a game-high 27 points while Isaiah Taylor (15 points), Garret Plantz (11 points) and Donovan McRae (10 points) scored in double figures.

The Giants led by 10 points at halftime, 41-31 and went ahead by as many as 25 points with 10 minutes to play in the game (71-46) following a Stricklin layup.

However, the Defenders were able to whittle that down to just a five point lead with a little over three minutes to play. But free throws by Jordan, Matthews, Bowman and Flynn down the stretch were able to ice the contest for Keystone.
