La PLUME, Pa. – Despite leading 6-3 after the sixth inning, the Keystone College baseball team fell to visiting Stevens Institute of Technology 8-7 in non-conference action on Wednesday.
With the defeat, the Giants are now 12-11 and will face Cairn in a CSAC series from April 20-22. The Ducks improve to 14-15.

Dakota McFadden (Rocky Point, NC/Heide Trask) launched a solo shot to left, making it a 2-1 ballgame. McFadden finished the day 2-for-3 with two runs scored and started the game on the hill, tossing six frames while striking out three. The righty threw 104 pitches and forced 10 groundouts and two flyouts.

Anthony Ferrezza (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) finished 2-for-4 with a two-run single to right in the sixth while junior
Joe Fichera (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) went 2-for-5 with two RBI.

Johann Paniagua (Bronx, NY/James Monroe Campus High School) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and the Giants collected 11 hits on the afternoon.

The Giants threatened in the bottom of the ninth, trailing 8-6. Ferrezza, sophomore
RJ Gouldsbury (Throop, Pa./Mid Valley) and Fichera all singled – with an RBI single from Fichera to make it 8-7. But a fielder's choice and popup ended the game.
