Men’s Soccer Enjoys 3-1 Season-Opening Win Over Allegheny

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The Keystone College men's soccer team enjoyed a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Allegheny College in the Athey Cup on Friday afternoon.
  • Following a scoreless first half, Allegheny notched a goal in the 76th minute to go ahead 1-0.
  • Junior Jaylen Walters (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) scored the equalizer in the 77th minute, thanks to assists by senior Andrew Lupinacci (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) & sophomore Sebastian Bonilla (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge).
  • Senior Ibrahim Tounkara (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) score the go-ahead goal in the 84th minute off an assist from freshman Axel Gonzalez (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards).
  • Lupinacci put the game away with a goal in the 86th minute, off assists from senior Daniel Zuniga (Lakeland, Fla./McKeel Academy) and sophomore MarDayus Bothwell (Gadsden, Ala./Gadsden City).
  • Keystone outshot the Gators 12-7.
  • Sophomore Erick Gomez (Marrero, La./John Ehret) finished with one save.
  • Zuniga paced the offense with four shots.
  • The Giants will take on host Washington College tomorrow at 4 p.m.
