Women’s Basketball Runs Past Cairn 82-42

LANGHORNE, Pa. - The Keystone College women's basketball team enjoyed an 82-42 CSAC victory at Cairn University on Saturday afternoon.
  • With the convincing win, first-place Keystone improves to 12-5 (10-0 CSAC) & will host Clarks Summit University on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m.
  • Cairn drops to 1-17 (1-9 CSAC) on the year.
  • Leading the Giants was sophomore Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) with 20 points, behind 8-of-10 shooting from the field. 
  • Lamonea chipped in 6 rebounds and went 3-of-3 from the foul line.
  • Junior Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) followed with 19 points, going 5-of-8 from downtown, to go along with 6 boards & 2 assists.
  • Freshman Katie Price (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) tallied 17 points, 4 assists & 2 boards while sophomore Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) notched 16 points, 5 rebounds & 4 assists.
  • Junior Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) pulled down a team-high 7 rebounds to go along with 6 points while junior Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) notched 4 points, 4 steals & 3 assists.
  • Freshmen Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan), Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) & Naomi Hanton (Bristow, Va./Patriot) combined for 11 rebounds.
  • Sophomore Taylor Millard (Susquehanna, Pa./Susquehanna) chipped in 4 rebounds off the bench.
  • For Cairn, Dakota Hitchner tallied 16 points.
  • Keystone jumped out to a 28-10 lead after the 1st & held a comfortable 43-22 lead at halftime.
  • The Giants outscored Cairn 25-10 in the 3rd period and outscored the Highlanders 39-20 in the 2nd half.
