Lamonea’s 33 Lifts Giants Past Defenders 83-79

La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College women's basketball team held off visiting Clarks Summit University 83-79 in CSAC action on Wednesday night.
  • With the win, Keystone improves to 13-5 (11-0 CSAC) & will remain at home to host Bryn Athyn College on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m.
  • The Defenders drop to 13-5 (8-3 CSAC).
  • Sophomore Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) dropped a game-high 33 points behind 11-of-17 shooting, going 5-of-10 from deep & 6-of-8 from the foul line.
  • Lamonea also provided 4 rebounds, 2 steals & 2 assists in the league win.
  • Sophomore Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) followed with 20 points, going 6-of-6 from the foul line, to go along with 6 rebounds & 3 helpers.
  • Junior Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) tallied 12 points, 5 rebounds & 4 assists while junior Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) enjoyed 9 points, 7 rebounds & 6 assists.
  • Freshman Katie Price (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) notched 9 points & 2 rebounds while junior Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) tallied 4 rebounds.
  • For the Defenders, Randie Traxler notched 28 points while Alison Aten tallied 17 points.
  • Elizabeth Singleton enjoyed a double-double with 15 points & 11 rebounds.
  • CSU jumped out to a 19-14 lead after the 1st quarter and led 34-32 at the break.
  • Keystone enjoyed a 28-16 run in the 3rd quarter and held off a late Defender rally for the victory.
