Lamonea’s Double-Double Lifts Giants Past Bryn Athyn 78-69

La PLUME, Pa. - The Keystone College women's basketball team held off visiting Bryn Athyn College 78-69 in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon in Ace Spalding Arena.
  • With the win, league-leading Keystone improves to 14-5 (12-0 CSAC) & will host Cedar Crest College on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m.
  • Keystone also clinched a playoff spot in the upcoming CSAC Tournament, which runs from Feb. 24-29. 
  • Bryn Athyn falls to 4-15 (3-9 CSAC).
  • Sophomore Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) scored a game-high 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, while grabbing a contest-best 11 boards.
  • Lamonea also chipped in 4 assists, 2 blocks & 2 steals in 39 minutes.
  • Sophomore Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) tallied 22 points, 9 assists & 4 steals while freshman Katie Price (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) enjoyed 22 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists & 2 steals.
  • Freshman Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) tallied 10 rebounds, 4 points & 2 steals while juniors Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) & Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) combined for 5 points, 6 rebounds & 3 steals.
  • For the Lions, 4 players finished in double figures as Allie Warren tallied 16 points. Clayshonia Cogman notched a double-double with 14 points & 10 rebounds. 
  • Keystone led 20-18 after the 1st quarter & 26-25 at intermission.
  • Following a tied 3rd quarter, the Giants outscored the Lions 27-19 in the final period to pull away for the win.
