Women’s Basketball Advances to CSAC Championship with 68-47 Win Over Centenary

La PLUME, Pa. - The Keystone College women's basketball team enjoyed a 68-47 victory over visiting Centenary University in the CSAC Semifinals on Wednesday night in Ace Spalding Arena.
  • With the playoff win, Keystone improves to 20-6 and advances to the program's second-straight CSAC title game.
  • This marks the program's most wins in a single season since the 2004-05 campaign (21-6).
  • The Giants will host St. Elizabeth on Saturday, Feb. 29 with time TBA.
  • Keystone went 2-0 against the Eagles this year (W, 90-70 on Jan. 22 & W, 78-72 on Feb. 22).
  • St. Elizabeth defeated Notre Dame of Maryland 76-51 in the other CSAC Semifinal contest.
  • Centenary ends the year at 15-11.
  • Sophomore Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) - the 2019-20 CSAC Player of the Year - scored a game-high 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field & 6-of-6 shooting from the foul line, to go along with 5 rebounds & 2 assists.
  • Sophomore Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) netted 13 points & provided 5 assists & 2 rebounds.
  • Freshman Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) notched 6 points & pulled down 12 rebounds (7 offensive) while junior Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) tallied 4 points with 12 rebounds (7 offensive).
  • Junior Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) recorded 9 points, 4 rebounds & 3 steals while freshmen Katie Price (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) & Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) combined for 9 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists & 4 steals.
  • For the Cyclones, Danika Brandt tallied 12 points while Janne Brown notched a double-double with 10 points & 14 rebounds.
  • Keystone jumped out of the gates with a 24-6 lead after the 1st quarter & led 35-18 at the break.
  • The Giants outscored the Cyclones 22-14 in the 3rd period.
