CSAC Champs! Women’s Basketball Earns 1st Title with 72-61 Win Over St. Elizabeth

La PLUME, Pa. –
The Keystone College women's basketball program earned its first-ever CSAC title with Saturday's 72-61 win over visiting College of Saint Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon in Ace Spalding Arena.
  • With the win, Keystone improves to 21-6 and earns the CSAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament, with the selection show airing on Monday afternoon with opponent & time to be announced.
  • St. Elizabeth ends the year at 19-7.
  • Sophomore Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) scored a game-high 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field, going 5-of-8 from deep – to earn CSAC Finals MVP.
  • Lamonea enjoyed a double-double with 10 rebounds while providing 4 assists & 1 block in the title game victory.
  • Freshman Katie Price (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) tallied 10 points – all coming in the 1st quarter – on 3-of-6 shooting from long distance.
  • Sophomore Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) notched 9 points, 6 assists, 3 steals & 3 rebounds while freshman Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) enjoyed 7 points & 7 boards.
  • Juniors Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove), Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) & Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) combined for 17 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists & 3 steals.
  • For CSE, Maria DeVincenzo tallied 27 points – with 23 occurring in the 2nd half.
  • Kamani Williams recorded a double-double with 11 points & 11 boards while Aryanna Baytops pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.
  • Keystone led by just 2 (14-12) before a 24-7 explosive 2nd quarter handed the Giants a 38-19 lead at the break.
  • The Eagles answered with a 25-14 run in the 3rd quarter to trail 52-44 entering the 4th.
  • CSE got within 3 points in the early minutes of the final period and trailed 61-57 with 2:33 to play.
  • Keystone finished the contest on an 11-4 spurt to close out the CSAC championship.
