Mainero’s Hat Trick Lifts Giants Past Centenary 5-0

La PLUME, Pa. - The Keystone College field hockey team enjoyed a 5-0 victory over visiting Centenary University in CSAC action on Wednesday night.

  • With the win, Keystone improves to 12-5 (6-0 CSAC) while Centenary drops to 2-12 (1-5 CSAC).

Standout Performers

  • Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Patrick's College) enjoyed a hat trick, tallying her eighth, ninth and 10th goals of the season.
  • Mainero tallied scores in the 15th, 30th and 57th minutes.
  • Alex Williams (Elkton, Md./The Tome School) opened up the scoring in the 11th minute for her sixth marker of the year.
  • Julianna Santiago (Allentown, PA./Louis E. Dieruff) found the back of the cage in the 41st minute - her fifth of the season.
  • Courtney Dwyer (Scranton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) dished out two assists while Julia Blahut (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock) and Santiago each tallied one.
  • Casey Stratton (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) earned the shutout, making one save.
