ROSEMONT, Pa. – The 2021 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Field Hockey Championship is set to get underway on Wednesday with four teams vying for the 2021 title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Action starts at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday as fourth-seed Sweet Briar College (13-7, 4-3 CSAC) travels to top-seed Wilson College (16-0, 7-0 CSAC), while the second semifinal is slated for a 4 p.m. start and pits third-seed Cedar Crest College (8-8, 5-2 CSAC) travels to second-seed Keystone College (12-6, 6-1 CSAC).
Wednesday winners will meet on Saturday afternoon at the highest remaining seed for the conference championship.
Wilson met Sweet Briar way back on September 5, with Wilson taking a 3-2 win. Michaela Singer scored the game-winning goal in the third quarter. This is Sweet Briar's first year in the conference.
Cedar Crest and Keystone met back on September 30, with Keystone winning 3-1 in LaPlume. Juilanna Santiago had a goal and an assist in the win.
Wilson is the defending champion, defeating Keystone 1-0 in overtime back in 2019. There was no competitive season in 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
