WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Keystone women's hoops closed out the calendar year with a 64-36 non-conference road loss to King's College Friday afternoon at Scandlon Gym.
It was all Monarchs from the get-go as they jumped out to a 17-0 lead through the first half of the opening quarter and never looked back.
Keystone fell to 6-4 overall while King's improved to 8-4 on the season.
Standout Performers
- Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) lead the Giants with a team-high 12 points and eight rebounds.
- Emily Morano had a game-high 22 points for the Monarchs to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Samantha Rajza followed with 19 points for King's.

- King's held the advantage in almost every aspect of the game with 30 points in the paint, 24 points off turnovers, 15 second chance points and 13 bench points.
- Keystone went 2 of 6 at the free-throw line while King's shot 7 for 12.
What's Next
- The Giants (4-1 CSAC) will return to conference play with a road matchup against Cedar Crest College (1-7 overall, 0-5 CSAC) next Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m.
- Keystone will have two more non-conference games with Misericordia University on Jan. 10 and Centenary University on Feb. 9.
- King's will also return to their respective conference slate with a matchup against Stevens on Jan. 5.
