Softball Outscores CSU 33-6 in DH Sweep

CLARKS SUMMIT, PA - The Keystone College softball team swept Clarks Summit University on Saturday afternoon in a CSAC doubleheader, outscoring the Defenders 33-6 in the twinbill.
  •       The Giants improve to 14-4 (14-2 CSAC) and will travel to Cedar Crest on Saturday.
  •       The Defenders fall to 3-19 (2-12 CSAC) and will travel to Valley Forge on Wednesday.
Game One: Keystone 13, CSU 0 (5 Innings)
  • Alyssa Booth (Holland, Pa./Council Rock North) finished 2-for-3 including two runs & 3 RBI.
  • Both Angelina Morley (Deposit, N.Y./Deposit-Hancock) and Erin Dunn (Harveys Lake, Pa./Tunkhannock) went 1-for-2 with Morley scoring 2 runs.
  • Shannon Lloyd (King of Prussia, Pa./Archbishop John Carroll) went 2-for-4 with a double & 3 RBI.  
  • Courtney Cienki (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) earned the win, pitching all 5 innings. She enjoyed 4 strikeouts, while only giving up 7 hits.   
Game Two: Keystone 20, CSU 6 (5 Innings)
  • The Giants earned 18 hits.
  • Marlena Pegula (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) went 4-for-4, with 2 homers & 8 RBI.
  • Paige Mokychic (Beaumont, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) went 4-for-5 including 3 runs & 3 RBI.
  • Lexy Johnson (Newark, Del./Delaware Military Academy) tallied 3 RBI.
  • Madolyn Fernandes (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) pitching 3 innings, earning the win 
  • Kylee Kerstetter (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) pitched the final 2 innings, earning the save while only giving up 2 hits.
