Field Hockey Downs Wells College

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College field hockey team picked up their fifth win of the season as they defeated Wells College 4-1.
 
Standout Players

  • Fiona Torres Moino (Villa Crespo, Bueno Aires, Argentina/Ecos) scored her first collegiate goal around the ten-minute mark off an assist from sophomore Cece Burke (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit).
  • Following a scoreless second quarter, Wells later tied the game in the third quarter. Keystone would later get the lead back as Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Aregentina/San Vicente de Paul) found Courtney Dwyer (Scranton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) as she tallied her fourth goal of the season.
  • The Giants put the match away as they recorded two goals in final quarter. Julia Blahut (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock) would find Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) to put Keystone up by two goals.
  • Tomada scored a buzzer beating fourth goal off of a penalty corner. Dwyer had the assist on Tomada's fourth goal of the 2021 campaign.
  • Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) got the start in goal and recorded four saves tonight for the Giants.

What's Next
The Giants move to 5-2 with the win over the Express. Following seven straight home games to kickoff the season, Keystone will prepare for their first away game of the season as they head to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. to take on Kings College (PA) on Tuesday, Sept. 21. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
