Men’s Soccer Enjoys Homecoming Victory over Cabrini

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's soccer team pick up a much-needed win as they defeated Cabrini University 1-0 Saturday evening at the Keystone College Turf Field during Homecoming & Family Weekend. With the win, the Giants snap a seven-game losing streak and move to 2-7. Cabrini falls to 3-5-3.

Freshman Daniel Cook (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda/GED Certificate) scored the lone goal for Keystone in the 67th minute. Goalkeeper Erick Gomez (New Orleans, La./John Ehret) made five saves in tonight's match. Cabrini goalkeeper MJ Graham made two saves in goal for the Cavaliers.

Cabrini outshot 18-5, but Keystone had a 6-5 edge in corner kicks. Cook led Keystone in shots with three while Axel Gonzalez (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) and CJ Lampert (Linden, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) posted two shots. Nick LoBiondo led the Cavaliers in shots with five.

Keystone will remain at home for their next contest as they wrap up their nonconference schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 4 against the University of Scranton at 7 p.m. Cabrini will open Atlantic East Conference play at Neumann University on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.
