LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team took down Cedar Crest 3-1 Tuesday evening in the Gambal Athletic Center. With the win, Keystone moves to 8-9 (3-1 CSAC). Cedar Crest drops to 6-7 (3-1 CSAC).
Keystone won the first two sets, 25-16 and 27-25. They dropped the third set, 25-19, but bounced back to win the fourth set, 25-19.
Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) had a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) and Sage Superko (Laceyville, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) combined for 17 kills. Hannah Ankerbrand-Ochoa (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) recorded 28 assists and three service aces. Devany Obin (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) and Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) both had four service aces on the night. For the visiting Falcons, Kelsee Schouppe and Alexis Cummins together had 21 kills. Ava Grapsy, Rebekka Sanchez-Castro, and Daja Jackson all had four service aces.
The Giants will remain home for their final nonconference match of the season against SUNY Delhi at 6:30 p.m. for their Pink Out Game. Cedar Crest will head to Cabrini University on Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.
