LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's soccer team had an impressive performance in tonight's match as they defeated the University of Valley Forge 8-0 Wednesday evening at the Keystone College Turf Field.
Keystone improves to 5-8-1 (2-1-1 CSAC). Valley Forge falls to 3-10-1 (0-3-1 CSAC).
Daniel Cook (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda/GED Certificate) recorded a hat trick and two assists in tonight's match. CJ Lampert (Linden, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) recorded two goals and one assist. Rui Lopez (Miami, Fla./Varela), Axel Gonzalez (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards), and Kerwin Blanco (Houston, Tex./Spring Woods) all recorded one goal. Mathias Trujillo (Marathon, Fla./Marathon) posted a match-high three assists.
Hector Camaja Jr. (Palisades Park, N.J./Palisades Park) and Dominic Weber (Martinsburg, W.V./Spring Mills) appeared in goal tonight for the Giants with Weber recording one save. Valley Forge goalkeepers Abner Gabriel Camacho and Juan Garcia Flores combined for eight saves.
The Giants outshot the Patriots 31-5, and had a 7-2 advantage on corner kicks. There were 11 fouls called in the contest.
Keystone will be at Bryn Athyn College this Saturday, Oct. 22 for a 1 p.m. match. Valley Forge will head to Wilson College on the same day with their match beginning at 3:30 p.m.
