LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's soccer team battled to a 2-2 draw with Rosemont College Wednesday evening at the Keystone College Turf Field on Senior Day. With the tie, Keystone moves to 5-6-2 (2-3-2 CSAC). Rosemont goes to 5-5-3 (4-3-1 CSAC).
Prior to the start of the match, Keystone honored their five soccer seniors Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area), Amilee Miller (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area), Amy Franklin (Lincoln, England/Priory Academy LSST), Kelly Irwin (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley), and Karissa Cowles (Rome, Pa./Northeast Bradford).
Trailing 2-0 nothing at halftime, Natalie Cross (Hop Bottom, Pa./Mountain View) found Hailey Dunham (Southgate, Mich./Inter-City Baptist) in the 69th minute to cut the deficit to one. Dunham later scored on a penalty kick in the 72nd minute for the equalizer. Cassandra McHenry (Shickshinny, Pa./Benton Area) made 10 saves in goal tonight for Keystone.
The Ravens outshot the Giants 24-15. They also had a 6-3 advantage on corner kicks. Dunham led the team in shots with eight.
Keystone will head to Cairn University on Wednesday, Oct. 26 for a 5 p.m. match. Rosemont will head to Wilson for their final regular season match on the same day at 4 p.m.
