CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Three different Giants scored in Keystone's 3-1 victory at Wilson College in CSAC men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.
With the win, Keystone now sits at 7-8-1 (4-1-1 CSAC) and will return home to host St. Elizabeth on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. for Senior Day. The Phoenix drop to 1-10-4 (1-4-1 CSAC).
Currently, Keystone is sitting at No. 3 in the CSAC table and St. Elizabeth is right behind at No. 4.
Keystone enjoyed three first-half tallies, as Mathias Trujillo (Marathon, Fla./Marathon) notched an early goal in just the sixth minute of play. Rui Lopez (Miami, Fla./Varela) followed with a marker in the 29th minute, thanks to an assist from Axel Gonzalez (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards), to stretch the lead to 2-0.
CJ Lampert (Linden, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) concluded the scoring for the Giants in the 35th minute, notching his seventh goal of the year.
Wilson ruined the shutout bid, notching a goal in the 78th minute.
On the match, Keystone outshot the Phoenix 17-7 and held a 7-4 edge in corners. Both Lopez and Trujillo notched four shots apiece.
Hector Camaja, Jr. earned the start and the win, making two saves. Erick Gomez (New Orleans, La./John Ehret) played the second half.
