La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College women's volleyball team enjoyed a 3-0 sweep of visiting St. Elizabeth University on Wednesday night in CSAC action.
With the victory, the Giants are now 11-12 (6-2 CSAC) while the Eagles drop to 5-17 (2-6 CSAC). Keystone has now clinched a playoff berth and is currently third in the league standings.
Keystone will host Wilson College on Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. for Senior Day as the team honors Madolyn Fernandes (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) in a pre-game ceremony.
The Giants won the first two sets, 25-8, and captured the third set, 25-13. Keystone hit .321 in the opening set.
Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) paced Keystone with nine kills, hitting .350, while Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) and Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) both tallied four executions. Devany Obin (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) and Burk combined for 16 assists.
Keystone finished with 17 service aces, as Obin and Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) combined for 12. Herneisey led the back row with 20 digs.
For SEU, Aryanna Baytops led the Eagles with seven kills.
