BRYN ATHYN, Pa.- The Keystone College field hockey team enjoyed 13-0 shut out win over Bryn Athyn Saturday afternoon. Keystone improves to 7-5 (3-0 CSAC). Bryn Athyn falls to 0-7 (0-2 CSAC).
Maria Belen Rodriguez-Molina (Caballito, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Colegio Santa BrÃgida) scored six goals in the game. She tied the school record for goals in a match which was first accomplished by Kyle Oakley back in 1982.
Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Vicente de Paul) scored twice while Julianna Santiago (Allentown, Pa./Louis E. Dieruff), Makayla Batts (New Oxford, Pa./New Oxford), Cortney Keim (Trevorton, Pa./Line Mountain), Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West), Angelina Morley (Deposit, N.Y./Deposit) all recorded one. Tomada posted a game high two assists. Mascia, Rodriguez-Molina, Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Patrick's College), Courtney Dwyer (Scranton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail), and Casey Stratton (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) contributed with an assist on the day. For the Lions, Amy Wilson recorded four defensive saves.
Keystone posted 43 shots and 15 penalty corners in the match.
The Giants will be back home for their second to last nonconference contest of the season on Oct. 12 against Ramapo College. Bryn Athyn will head to Cedar Crest on Oct.11 for a 7 p.m. matchup.
