Giants Fall at Brockport 92-78

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Four Giants finished in double figures but the Keystone College men's basketball team fell at SUNY Brockport 92-78 in non-conference action on Friday night inside Jim & John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.

Keystone (0-1) was led by Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western), who finished with a team-high 23 points, going a perfect 7-of-7 from the foul line, while chipping in five assists, four boards, one steal and one block.

Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) followed with 18 points, shooting 7-of-9 from the field, with seven boards. Javen Flowers-Smith (Atlanta, Ga./Pembroke Pines Charter) notched 14 points, going 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.

D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) chipped in 10 points, six assists and two steals. John Brice (Saint Augustine, Fla./Menendez), Matt Campbell (Queens, N.Y./Pocono Mountain West), and Justin Hill (Deltona, Fla./Mainland) combined for 13 points.

For Brockport, Mekhi Beckett poured in a game-high 33 points, shooting 6-of-12 from deep. David Grady and Jahidi Wallace combined for 31 points.

On Tuesday, Wallace became Brockport's 25th player in program history to net 1,000 career points.

Brockport shot 41.2 percent from long distance and limited Keystone to just 19 percent from beyond the arc. The Giants shot 83.3 percent from the foul line but were outrebounded 51-30 on the night.

The Giants head to Ithaca College on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. before hosting SUNY Oneonta in the team's home opener on Thursday, Nov. 17. Brockport moves to .500 at 1-1.
