Berry Nets 25 in 73-63 Defeat to Morrisville

OSWEGO, N.Y. - Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) followed up last night's 33-point performance with a 25-poin outing on Saturday, but the Keystone College women's basketball team fell to SUNY Morrisville 73-63 in the consolation game of the Max Ziel Tournament, hosted by SUNY Oswego. 

With the defeat, Keystone drops to 0-3 and will head to Misericordia University on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. The Mustangs improve to 1-2 on the year.

Berry's 25 points came on 9-of-15 shooting, going 6-for-11 from deep. In the two-day tournament, she averaged 29.0 ppg and totaled 13 three pointers and was subsequently named to the All-Tournament Team.

Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) and Kyleigh Monk (Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll School) both tallied 10 points and combined for eight boards. Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan), Allyson Frank (Rio Rancho, N.M./V. Sue Cleveland), Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic), and Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) combined for 16 points and 19 rebounds on the day.

For Morrisville, four Mustangs finished in double figures as Cara Walker and Brooke Hammersley both tallied double-doubles.

Keystone trailed by just one (19-18) after the opening quarter and fell behind 44-32 at the break. The Morrisville bench outscored KC 34-17 as the Mustangs outrebounded the Giants 48-34.
