DALLAS, Pa. - The Keystone College women's basketball team dropped a 70-36 non-conference decision at Misericordia University on Tuesday night.
With the defeat, the Giants drop to 0-4 and will return home to host PSU Berks on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. The Cougars improve to 3-0.
Misericordia jumped out to a 17-5 after the first quarter and held a 30-19 cushion at halftime. The Giants were outscored 24-7 in the third quarter.
Kyleigh Monk (Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll School) led Keystone with 11 points, shooting a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, while adding four rebounds. Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) added seven points and three boards while Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) notched six points and six rebounds.
Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) provided four points and four rebounds while Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area), Kaitlyn Slaboda (Taylor, Pa./Riverside), and Allyson Frank (Rio Rancho, N.M./V. Sue Cleveland) combined for eight points and six rebounds.
For the Cougars, Alyssa Bondi tallied 22 points while Gianna Delfino provided 12 points and 11 rebounds. Melina Santacroce notched 10 points and 12 boards.
Both teams struggled from three-point distance, only shooting 6-of-40 from deep.
