LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team suffered a 75-68 loss to Drew University in their final nonconference game of the season and of 2022 Friday evening in the Gambal Athletic Center. With the loss, Keystone drops to 4-7. Drew improves to 8-4.
Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) led the Giants with 23 points and 18 rebounds. Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) finished with 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Javen Flowers-Smith (Atlanta, Ga./Pembroke Pines Charter) tallied 14 points and eight assists. Each player from Drew's starting five finished in double figures. The Rangers were led by Michael Kane who scored 20 points and grabbed five boards. Andrew Turco had 18 points with five threes. Howard McBurnie Jr. had a double-double as he contributed with 11 points and 19 rebounds.
Both the Giants and Rangers had 38 rebounds in the contest. Keystone shot 47 percent from the field. The Giants were outscored 47-29 in the first half, but outscored the visiting Rangers 39-28 in the second half.
Keystone will open Colonial States Athletic Conference play in 2023 as they host Wilson College on Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. Drew will resume Landmark Conference play on Jan. 7 when they host Susquehanna University at 4 p.m.
