LANGHORNE, Pa. - The Keystone College men's lacrosse team wrapped up the 2022 season on Wednesday, falling at Cairn University 17-1 in CSAC action at the Stillman Complex.
The Giants finish the year 0-10 (0-6 CSAC) while the Highlanders end the season at 3-9 (2-4 CSAC).
Matthew Bardoo (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) tallied the lone goal for Keystone - assisted by Noel Gonzalez (Westminster, Colo./Westminster) - at 11:14 in the fourth quarter. Keystone finished with 15 shots, as A.J. Hackenberg (Greenfield Twp., Pa./Lakeland) paced the attack with four shots on goal.
Luis Arrieta (Miami, Fla./Miami Killian) notched four shots, four caused turnovers, and three ground balls. Erik Duran (Marietta, Ga./Kennesaw Mountain) won six faceoffs and picked up eight ground balls. Gonzalez contributed six ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Playing in his final career game, Gabe Reyes (Rockville, Md./Rockville) enjoyed four caused turnovers and two ground balls, finishing the season with 49 caused turnovers and his career with 83, both new program records.
Angel Rodriguez (Islip, N.Y./Islip) played in goal and made eight stops. His counterpart, Nico Cione, made seven saves.
The Highlanders rushed out to a 14-0 lead in the first half. Jonathan Balsamo scored five goals and Charles Cotton tallied four scores. The contest featured 13 penalties, accruing 12 minutes in the box.
