La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College women's volleyball team enjoyed a 3-0 sweep of visiting Cheyney University on Tuesday night.
The Giants (2-5) swept the Wolves (0-2) 25-13, 25-14, and 25-14. Keystone will head to Cazenovia College (2-5) on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
Keystone enjoyed 20 service aces on the night, which is tied for the sixth-most in single match program history (Oct. 16, 2015 vs. Clarks Summit).
Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School), Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City), and Jasmine Adorno (Port Orange, Fla./Atlantic) all hit over .400 on the night, combining for 15 kills between the trio. Sage Superko (Laceyville, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) tallied three kills and five aces.
Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) notched two kills, six assists, and three digs while Hannah Ankerbrand-Ochoa (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) and Devany Obin (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) combined for nine assists and five aces.
Karielys Gonzalez Ramirez (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) led the back row with 13 digs.
Keystone limited Cheyney to a .020 hitting percentage in the match.
