LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team swept Centenary University, 3-0, Saturday afternoon inside the Gambal Athletic Center. The Giants defeated the Cyclones 25-20 in the first set, 25-17 in the second set, and 25-18 in the third set. The Giant move to 3-6 while Centenary falls to 1-6.
Hannah Ankerbrand-Ochoa (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) had a double-double with 13 digs and 10 assists. She recorded six kills on the day. Ankerbrand-Ochoa and Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) both contributed with 10 digs. Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) and Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) had 14 kills combine. Kaylee Sargent (Tioga, Pa./Williamson) had a team leading five aces in the match.
For the visiting Cyclones, Mya Burnett had a team high 11 kills while Martina Josifoska tallied 20 digs on the day.
Keystone will return home on Tuesday, Sept. 20 when they host Penn College at 7 p.m. Centenary will be away for their next match as they face Delaware Valley University on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.
