La PLUME, Pa. - The Keystone College women's soccer team enjoyed an 8-0 shutout win over visiting Trinity (DC) on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference play.
The Giants (3-2) begin CSAC play on Saturday, Sept. 24, heading to Cedar Crest College (2-3-1) for a 2 p.m. match.Â
Keystone netted five first-half goals against the Tigers. Chloe Hoffman (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) enjoyed a brace while Hailey Dunham (Southgate, Mich./Inter-City Baptist), Natalie Cross (Hop Bottom, Pa./Mountain View), and Brooke Freni (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional) provided one score each.
Freni, Amilee Miller (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area), and Cassandra McHenry (Shickshinny, Pa./Benton Area) dished out first-half assists.
Freni, Miller, and Cross notched second-half goals for Keystone. On the match, the Giants outshot the Tigers 28-4 (15-4 on goal).
The team's eight goals is tied for seventh-most in single game program history, last occuring on Sept. 7, 2019 against PSU Scranton.
Annie Metzger (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) registered the clean sheet, makes four stops in the victory.
