ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Keystone College women's soccer team fell 2-0 at Cedar Crest College on Saturday afternoon in the CSAC opener for both squads.
The Giants drop to 3-3 (0-1 CSAC) while the Falcons improve to 4-3-1 (1-0 CSAC). Keystone heads to St. Elizabeth University in a CSAC match on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m.
Cedar Crest outshot Keystone 27-4 on the day, forcing Annie Metzger (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) to make 11 saves. The Falcons also held the edge in corners, 4-0.
For the Giants, Brooke Freni (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional), Hailey Dunham (Southgate, Mich./Inter-City Baptist), Chloe Hoffman (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), and Karissa Cowles (Rome, Pa./Northeast Bradford) all registered shots.
The Falcons' Taylor Wolf led all players with nine shots. Wolf tallied the game's opening goal in the 23rd minute while Lauren Davis put the game away in the 78th minute. Linsey Nester tallied two assists.
