BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Keystone College women's volleyball team fell at Bryn Mawr College in four sets on Saturday afternoon.
The Giants (0-2) grabbed the opening set, 25-12, but the Owls (1-1) responded, winning 25-15, 27-25, and 25-19 to close out the match.
Keystone opened up the match hitting .333 in the first set, enjoying 10 kills on 18 attempts. However, the Owls clamped down and forced 22 errors from Keystone the rest of the day.
Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) enjoyed nine kills and seven digs while Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) floored eight kills. Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) tallied six kills, 11 digs, and 13 assists while Sage Superko (Laceyville, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) notched six kills.
Hannah Ankerbrand-Ochoa (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) recorded four kills, 17 assists, five digs, and four aces. Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) enjoyed 17 digs and four helpers.
For the Owls, Elise Perry had a match-high 15 kills, hitting .367 on the day.
Keystone will remain on the road, traveling to Wells College on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.
