PHOENIXVILLE, Pa.- Hailey Dunham (Southgate, Mich./Inter-City Baptist) scored a career high four goals as the Keystone women's soccer team ran past the University of Valley Forge 9-0 Friday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference play. With the win, Keystone moves 4-3-1 (1-1-1 CSAC) while UVF falls to 0-7 (0-3 CSAC).
Dunham's four goals came in the 9th, 36th, 45th, and 84th minute. Her third goal was scored 12 seconds into the second half. Brooke Freni (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional) recorded two goals in the 24th and 64th minute. Natalie Cross (Hop Bottom, Pa./Mountain View), Amilee Miller (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area), and Cassandra McHenry (Shickshinny, Pa./Benton Area) all found the back of the net in today's contest. Â Cross had a game high three assists while Dunham contributed with two, and Miller had one. For the Patriots, goalkeeper Keegan Thompson made 19 saves.
The Giants recorded 43 shots and had eight corner kicks in the match. Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) and Cassandra McHenry (Shickshinny, Pa./Benton Area) led Keystone in shots with eight.
Keystone women's soccer will host Clarks Summit University on Wednesday Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. Valley Forge will host Rosemont College at 3:30 p.m. on the same day.
