Women’s Basketball Overpowered by Defenders

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team dropped an 88-62 CSAC game to nearby Clarks Summit University Saturday afternoon in the Huckaby Gymnasium. Keystone falls to 5-10 (4-4 CSAC). CSU improves to 7-6 (5-2 CSAC).

Kaitlyn Slaboda (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) led Keystone with 15 points, six rebounds, and three blocks off the bench. Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Kyleigh Monk (Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll School) scored 12 points with six boards. Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) and Allyson Frank (Rio Rancho, N.M./V. Sue Cleveland) both had nine points in the contest. Three Defenders finished in double figures. Alison Aten led CSU with 33 points and four rebounds. Elizabeth Singleton was an assist away from a triple-double as she finished the day with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. Ashlyn Messinger had 12 points and four rebounds.

Clarks Summit barely outrebounded Keystone, 48-44. Keystone shot 30 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free throw line.

Keystone will return home as they host Cairn University on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. Clarks Summit travels to St. Elizabeth University on the same day.
