BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Keystone College women's basketball fell on the road to Bryn Athyn College 60-41 Saturday afternoon in CSAC action.
With the defeat, Keystone drops to 7-12 (6-6 CSAC). Bryn moves to 9-8 (7-4 CSAC).
For the second straight game, Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) finished with a double-double as she led the squad with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) and Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) both chipped in with eight points. Four Lions scored in double figures as Norma Thornhill and Terrae Lewis led Bryn Athyn with 14 points.
In addition to the 14 points, Lewis grabbed 15 boards for the double-double. Kearah Henry and Kaylia Duncan scored 13 points on the day.
Keystone was down heavily at the conclusion of the first half, 31-13. The Giants used a strong defensive effort in the third quarter as they held the Lions to only five points. However, Bryn Athyn outscored the Giants 24-17 in the fourth quarter to put the game on ice. The Lions outrebounded the Giants 46-36.
Giants' women's basketball would look to get back on track next Wednesday, Feb.1 as they host Cedar Crest College in the Gambal Athletic Center at 6 p.m. Bryn Athyn will remain home as they face the University of Valley Forge on the same day.
