EDWARDSVILLE, PA – The Giants took a trip to Edwardsville on Saturday (10/14) to face the Colonels of Wilkes University, and ended the day with a 42-7 loss.
Wilkes University struck early in the first quarter, when JayJay Jordan put up his first rushing touchdown of the day. Keystone answered with a 2-yard touchdown run from Damir Green (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep) in the 2nd quarter, but then Wilkes picked up the pace with three more rushing touchdowns coming from Elijah Jules, Xavier Powell, and JayJay Jordan, and two passing touchdowns where Xavier Powell connected with Zane Grover, and I. Rodriguez connected with Justin Moore.
Overall, Wilkes University ended the day with 635 yards in total offense, compared to Keystone coming home with 183 total yards.
After this matchup Wilkes moves to 3-4 on the season (3-0 Landmark), and Keystone moves to 1-6 on the season (0-3 Landmark).
Keystone will be back home next Saturday (10/21) to take on Lycoming College in their Keystone Faculty/Staff Appreciation and Breast Cancer Awareness game. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
