LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College football team suffered a Landmark Conference loss to Lycoming College 34-7 Saturday afternoon at the Keystone College Turf Field.
With the loss, Keystone goes to 1-7 (0-4 Landmark). Lycoming wins their second straight game and improve to 2-5 (2-1 Landmark).Â
Keystone's lone score came from Mujaheed Muhammad (Philadelphia, Pa./Paul Robeson) with a three yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Donald Leach III (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) threw for 216 yards with one pick. Jayson Nami (Freehold Township, N.J./Freehold Township) was the team's leading receiver with 80 yards. Joshua Orozco (Reading, Pa./Reading) led the Giants defense with 11 total tackles which included a sack. Quentin Tibbs (New Brunswick, N.J./New Brunswick) and Nicholas DeFrancesco (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) combined for 13 tackles. Dontez Crawford (Baltimore, Md./Pennsauken) had a game high two pass break-ups.Â
For Lycoming, quarterback Will Fish threw two touchdown passes for 161 yards. Billy Coppock was the Warriors leading receiver with 82 yards with two scores. On the defensive side, Joey Rivituso posted 10 total tackles. Jordan Rhinehart, the reigning Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week, recorded an interception for the second straight game.Â
Lycoming's kicker, Ian Plankenhorn, was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts. In addition, he had five punts for 196 yards.Â
Keystone trailed 10-7 at halftime, but were outscored 24-0 in the second half.Â
Keystone will host Catholic University next Saturday, Oct. 28 at 12 p.m. in the team's final home game of the season. The program will honor its seniors prior to kickoff.Â
