CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- After dropping the first set, the Keystone College women's volleyball team stormed back to defeated Wilson College 3-1 in the team's regular season finale Tuesday evening.
Keystone lost the first set, 21-25, but won the second set, 25-14. The team took sets three and four with both set scores being 25-21 to claim the match.
The Giants finish the regular season with a record of 14-9 (7-2 United East Skye Division). Wilson ends their season at 2-24 (2-7 United East Skye Division).
Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) led the way with 13 kills and 10 digs. Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) and Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) each had 11 kills on the night. Hallam recorded a match high four blocks. Freshman setter Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) dished out 42 assists in the win. West and Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) combined for 28 digs.
For Wilson, Abby Moreland paced the Phoenix with 13 kills, 10 digs, and six service aces. Deah Mendis tallied 11 kills and 10 digs. Addie Hebert posted 17 digs.
Keystone will prepare for the United East Conference Championship which starts this Saturday, Nov. 4 as they host the divisional first round. Time and opponent of the first playoff match is to be determined.
