MAHWAH, N.J.- The Keystone College field hockey team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 Saturday afternoon in nonconference action.
Keystone moves to 7-3 while Ramapo drops to 3-7.
Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) scored twice in the victory. Her first goal came 90 seconds into the contest followed by a penalty stroke goal late in the third quarter. Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Vicente de Paul) scored for the Giants in the final quarter of the game. Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Patrick's College) and Lucia Cisilino (Tandil, Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Jose) added an assist. Casey Statton made two saves in the cage.
Keystone outshot Ramapo, 27-3 with 20 of those shots being on goal. They held a 13-2 margin on penalty corners.
The Giants wrap up their nonconference schedule next Saturday, Oct. 14 against nationally ranked TCNJ at 7 p.m.
