LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team dropped their final nonconference game of the season to Penn College 53-44 Saturday afternoon in the team's last game of 2023.
Keystones drops to 4-7 while Penn College improves to 4-9.
Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) shined for Keystone as she scored 21 points with six rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) added 13 points with six rebounds and three steals. Penn College had one player in double figures as Rachel Teats provided 17 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
The Giants struggled with shooting throughout the contest as they shot 28 percent from the field. The Wildcats outrebounded Keystone, 42-33.
The Lady Giants will resume conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 3 as they host Cairn University at 1 p.m.
