Men’s Basketball Holds Off Valley Forge, 86-74

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team secured their second conference win of the season against the University of Valley Forge 86-74 Wednesday evening at the Gambal Athletic Center.

Keystone moves to 2-7 (2-1 United East Skye Division) while Valley Forge falls to 1-10 (1-3 United East Skye Division).

Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) provided a team high 28 points with four rebounds. Kamdyn Ayers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) scored 16 points with four rebounds and two assists. D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) and DaShaun Johnson (Montgomery Village, Md./Clarksburg) both scored 15 while Sutherland grabbed 15 rebounds. Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) had nine points and five rebounds.

For Valley Forge, Dashawn Goodine was the leading scorer for the Patriots with 18 points, three rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Jeremiah Daye scored 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

Keystone outscored Valley Forge 44-27 in the second half. The Patriots slowly crawled their way back into the game with a 47-point second half. However, they came up short. The Giants shot approximately 46 percent from the field.

Keystone will head down 6-11 for a United East Conference showdown with Clarks Summit University on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m.
