CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. - Keystone Men's basketball took a short trip to Clarks Summit University on Saturday afternoon for a conference matchup against the Defenders, and brought home an 81-74 win over the Defenders, moving the Giants to a 3-1 record in the United East Conference.
Keystone's scoring efforts were led by Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) putting up 27 points in the game, and D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) following with 17. Anderson had a field goal percentage of 58.3% after draining 7 out of 12 field goals during the game, and 5 out of 7 from outside the three-point line. Sutherland also led the team in defensive rebounds with 7, while Kamdyn Ayers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) helped the team with 4 defensive rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
For Clarks Summit, Hunter Plantz led the team's scoring efforts putting up 18 points, followed closely by Ashton West with 16. Plantz also led the team defensively with 6 defensive rebounds and 3 steals during the game.
After seeing the Giants lead 48-32 at halftime, the Defenders started to fight there way back, but ultimately came up short after outscoring Keystone 42-33 in the second half.
Keystone's next matchup will be at home on Thursday, December 14 as they take on the Golden Wolves of Alvernia University. This game will start at 7:00 PM in the Gambal Athletic Center.
