LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball earned a 67-53 win over Rosemont College Saturday afternoon in CSAC action. With the win, Keystone improves 9-14 (8-8 CSAC). Rosemont falls to 3-17 (3-12 CSAC).
Prior to the start of this afternoon's contest, the women's basketball team honored their two senior players Renata Alberici (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) and Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) as well as women's basketball graduate assistant coach Gianna Moschella in a pre-game Senior Day ceremony.
Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) finished with 17 points and three assists to lead the Giants. Kaitlyn Slaboda (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) had a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and seven blocks. Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) had a near double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds. Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) posted 10 points, eight rebounds, and five steals off the bench. Three players from Rosemont finished in double figures as Kalaia Hampton led the Ravens with 17 points and seven rebounds. Aalyssa Rogers and Angel Ricks both scored 13 points.
Keystone and Rosemont were tied at 17 at the end of the first quarter, but used a 25-6 run in the second quarter to help put the game out of reach. The Giants shot 32 percent and outrebounded the Ravens, 58-54.
Keystone will face Clarks Summit University on Wednesday. Feb. 15 in their final home game of the 2022-23 season at 6 p.m. in the Gambal Athletic Center. Rosemont will be home against Wilson College on the same day.
