LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team took down the defending CSAC Champions Clarks Summit University in double overtime 104-96 Wednesday evening in CSAC action. Keystone moves to 10-14 (9-8 CSAC) while Clarks Summit drops to 15-9 (12-5 CSAC).
Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) recorded a triple-double as she scored a school record 43 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists, and six steals. She shot 70 percent from the field.
Two Giants had double-doubles as Kaitlyn Slaboda (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) had 17 points and 13 rebounds while Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) had 13 points with 13 rebounds. Kyleigh Monk (Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll School) finished with 11 points off the bench.
Five Defenders finished in double figures as Mia McCormick and Elizabeth Singleton both tallied 21 points. Serene Calderon had a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Â
The Giants shot 45 percent from the field and 28 percent from three. Keystone was down 37-29 at halftime, but outscored the Defenders 24-16 in the third quarter. The scored was tied 14 times in the game with six lead changes.
Keystone will wrap up the regular season on Saturday as they travel to Cairn University on Saturday, Feb. 18. Clarks Summit will face. St. Elizabeth University on the same day.
