LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Keystone College women's basketball team enjoyed a 77-72 road victory at Cairn University in the regular season finale on Saturday.
The Giants (11-14, 10-8 CSAC) earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming CSAC tournament and will take the short trip to No. 3 seed Clarks Summit University (16-9, 13-5 CSAC) on Monday, Feb. 20 at 6 pm in the quarterfinals.
Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) tallied 19 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals while Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) notched 15 points, seven steals, six boards, and three helpers.
Kyleigh Monk (Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll School) recorded 14 points and Kaitlyn Slaboda (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) produced 13 points, four rebounds, and two blocks.
For Cairn, Taylor Hinson scored a game-high 28 points with 15 rebounds. Tamia Warner enjoyed 23 points while Kailee Sobrino provided 12 points and nine assists. The Highlanders end the season at 4-20 (2-16 CSAC).
The contest was tied at 16 after the first and Keystone held a slim 38-36 lead at intermission. The Giants outrebounded Cairn 41-39 and shot 15-of-17 (88.2 percent) from the foul line.
