Men’s basketball falls to Rosemont on Senior Day

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team dropped their regular season finale at home to Rosemont College Saturday afternoon by a final score of 76-68 in CSAC action.

Keystone wraps up the regular season with a record of 12-13 (8-6 CSAC). Rosemont goes to 11-14 (9-5 CSAC).

Both teams will now gear up for the CSAC Tournament which starts next week. Keystone is the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 seed St. Elizabeth on Monday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. The Ravens are the No. 3 seed and will play at No. 2 seed Wilson on Wednesday, Feb. 22 in the semifinals.

The team honored lone senior Albert Pewa (Philadelphia, Pa./Interboro) before the start of this afternoon's contest.

Javen Flowers-Smith (Atlanta, Ga./Pembroke Pines Charter) once again was the leading scorer for the Giants with 18 points, five assists, and five steals.

Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) recorded another double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) also scored 15 points for Keystone. In addition to the points, he dished out three assists and grabbed three rebounds.

For the visiting Ravens, Jared White had a double-double as he led Rosemont with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. Zaire Mitchell and Nick Strain combined for 31 points. Mike Herrin contributed with 13 points off the bench.

Keystone shot close to 39 percent from the field. They outrebounded the Ravens, 41-30. In the last eight minutes of the game, Rosemont went on a 17- 9 run to pull away with the win.
