LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team used a strong second half to take down the University of Valley Forge Patriots 84-66 Saturday afternoon in the Gambal Athletic Center. The Giants move to 10-11 (6-4 CSAC) while the Patriots drop to 1-17 (0-10 CSAC).
Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) had a monster day as the sophomore guard scored 34 points with five assists. Anderson shot 7-12 from three. Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) had 16 points with five rebounds. Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Jason Bontemps led the Patriots with 21 points, four assists, and four rebounds.
Up 36-30 at halftime, Keystone outscored Valley Forge 48-36 in the second half to pull away with the win. Keystone shot 44 percent from the field and 42 percent from three. The Giants had a 48-35 rebound advantage on the Patriots.
Keystone will head to Cairn University on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. Valley Forge will face Wilson at home on the same day at 7 p.m.
