LANGHORNE, Pa. - The Keystone College men's basketball team dropped a 77-59 decision at Cairn University in CSAC action on Wednesday night.
With the defeat, the Giants fall to 10-12 (6-5 CSAC) while the Highlanders remain in first place, improving to 14-8 (9-2 CSAC).
Keystone will remain on the road and travel to Bryn Athyn College on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. The Lions are currently 11-11 (5-6 CSAC).
Javen Flowers-Smith (Atlanta, Ga./Pembroke Pines Charter) led all scorers with a game-high 21 points, going 7-of-15 from the field, with five rebounds and two blocks. Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) followed with 14 points and is now 132 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) enjoyed yet another double-double - his 14th this season - with 12 points and 12 boards. Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) pulled down nine rebounds while Shane Rosencrans (Throop, Pa./Mid Valley), Marcus Bauman (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) and Albert Pewa (Philadelphia, Pa./Interboro) combined for eight points and six boards off the bench.
For Cairn, both Kameron Clark and Derian Bradford enjoyed double-doubles with 20 points/15 rebounds and 20 points/13 rebounds, respectively.
The Highlanders out-rebounded Keystone 46-39 and closed out the first half on a 9-0 run, leading 35-26 at intermission.Â
The Giants trailed by just six, 51-45, with 10:08 left in the game following a three by Jackson. However, Cairn went on a 20-14 spurt to claim a 71-56 lead with 2:15 to play.
