LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball came up short against Notre Dame of Maryland University 72-60 Saturday afternoon in the Gambal Athletic Center. With the loss, Keystone falls to 8-13 (7-7 CSAC). Notre Dame improves 17-4 (13-1 CSAC).
Four Giants finished in double figures as Kaitlyn Slaboda (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) led the squad with 14 points and six rebounds. Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) had 13 points, four assists, and four rebounds. Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) was two rebounds shy of a double-double as she had 11 points with eight rebounds. Kyleigh Monk (Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll School) posted 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists. For the visiting Gators, Kori People had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Ayana Brim, Dajia Fitchett, and Amya Durham combined for 48 points.
Keystone was outscored in every quarter except for the fourth quarter as they outscored Notre Dame 25-17 in the final quarter. Keystone shot 38 percent from the field and 69 percent from the free throw line.
Keystone will travel to Wilson College next Wednesday for a 6 p.m. matchup with the Phoenix. Notre Dame will host Valley Forge on the same day at 7 p.m.
